Terms of Service

Last updated: March 5, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TuneForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Account Terms

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. TuneForge is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.
  • One person or entity may not maintain more than one free account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including API key usage.

3. Credit System

TuneForge uses a credit-based system for music generation. Each generation costs 5 credits.

Free tier users receive 50 credits per day, which reset automatically at midnight UTC. Unused free credits do not roll over.

Credits are reserved at the time of request and refunded if generation fails due to a system error. Credits are not refunded for completed generations, regardless of subjective quality.

4. AI-Generated Content & Intellectual Property

You own the output. Music generated through TuneForge is yours to use for any purpose, including commercial use. No attribution to TuneForge is required.

Training rights. By using the Service, you grant TuneForge a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use generated content and associated metadata (prompts, scores, parameters) for the purpose of improving our quality scoring models and platform services.

You represent that your prompts and inputs do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or promotes violence
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract models from the Service
  • Circumvent rate limits, credit systems, or other access controls
  • Automate access in a manner that places excessive load on the platform outside of documented API usage
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service
  • Impersonate another person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

6. API Terms

API access is provided via API keys generated in your account settings. API keys are subject to rate limits. You must not share your API keys publicly. If you believe a key has been compromised, revoke it immediately through the dashboard. Abuse of the API may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your access.

7. Payment Terms

Paid plans are coming soon. When available, payment terms will include billing cycles, refund policies, and subscription management details. This section will be updated prior to the launch of paid features.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated music for any specific purpose. Output quality may vary depending on network conditions, miner availability, and prompt specificity. We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TuneForge and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to TuneForge in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Bittensor Network Disclaimer

TuneForge operates on the Bittensor decentralized AI network. Music generation is performed by independent third-party miners. TuneForge does not own, operate, or directly control individual miners on the network.

While we implement quality gates and scoring systems to ensure high-quality output, we cannot guarantee the behavior or output of any individual miner. Network availability, response times, and generation quality are subject to the decentralized nature of the Bittensor protocol.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the settings page. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
